Commissioned for Other Minds 12 (December 2006), Elohim by Bay Area composer Daniel David Feinsmith proved to be an electrifying experience for the audience. During the world premiere, a fire alarm emptied the hall, but order was restored and the 8-movement work proceeded to astonish all who were present.
