Australian Peter Sculthorpe (OM 12) is one of the world's most outstanding elder composers. This is the opening page of a recent work for string quartet. It includes a part for didjeridu. The premiere took place on December 10, 2006, in a performance by the Del Sol String Quartet with Stephen Kent.
